Indoor palm or asparagus?
Even though the palm lily looks like a palm tree at first glance and its name suggests as much, it actually belongs to the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). As the yucca originates in Mexico, you can bring Latin American flair into your four walls with this plant.
Details
Especially in the area of larger houseplants, the yucca palm is one of the favorites in German households. This is certainly due to the fact that the palm lily requires little water and hardly any fertilizer, which makes it particularly suitable for plant beginners or people without a green thumb. In addition, the yucca also brings a breath of fresh air into your rooms, as it has air freshening properties. Fun Fact: In the summer, your yucca palm will also do well on your balcony, as long as you give it a sheltered spot. However, this is of course not a must!
